How to Correctly Irrigate | Raleigh Lawn Care and Raleigh Landscaping

Improper irrigation methods is one of the most common ways of harming your lawn during the summer months. First, it is always best to water when stress is just becoming visible. This is called wilting, where the plant begins to discolor and loose its rigidity. You must catch it in its early stage but then water deeply to encourage the turf’s roots to grow deeper. Along with deep irrigation, you must also water infrequently, to the point in which the grass begins to wilt again.

The city of Raleigh is not currently under water restrictions so you should water around every other day for 20-45 minutes in each zone to achieve deep irrigation.
