Get Growing with Fall Lawn Care Tips!- Aeration Raleigh

by / Tuesday, 02 October 2012 / Published in News Updates

This fall it is a must to aerate, seed and fertilize your lawn for a complete lawn renovation.  Aeration using a starter fertilizer is a must to jump start the lawn again and get the new seedlings to germinate.  The much needed phosphorous is fed slowly to the roots and the new grass to provide increased energy for fast green up and maturation.  Once the lawn has been seeded, it is also imperative that the lawn is watered lightly throughout the day several times until the grass germinates.  This is to ensure that the seed doesn’t dry out and increases your success rate.  We also like to recommend not applying wheat straw over bare areas as the straw may contain seeds that also begin to grow and create problems in the spring.

Lawn aeration is the most important service to perform on your Tall Fescue lawn!
