Record setting October? | Raleigh Lawn Care

We are seeing high temperatures again this October.  Last fall and winter were very mild and here we are continuing to see highs in the mid 80′ this week.  The leaves are falling now but still not as heavy as they typically do by this time of year. As the trees begin to plaster your lawn with it’s old waste, keep in mind that mulching the lawn is the BEST way to provide additional nutrients, as the leaves are broken down onto the soil and disintegrate.  If the leaves do become too heavy, it is good to surface blow them off of your grass and into natural areas or bag them.  In order to “be Green”, it is best to add the leaves to your compost pile for additional nutrients.  Sending off leaves to the dump is a terrible waste of precious nutrients and it fills up our landfills!  Hopefully, as temperatures stay warm, you can continue to stay outside and enjoy your lawn.  Capitolcitync.com | Raleigh Lawn Care
